Smoked BBQ Ribs with Dillightful BBQ Dill Pickle Sauce

Smoky. Sweet. Tangy. Dill-lightful.

These low-and-slow smoked ribs are coated with a flavorful bark and finished with Dillightful BBQ Dill Pickle Sauce for the perfect Kansas City-style bite with a unique dill pickle twist.

Ingredients

  • 2 racks St. Louis-style pork ribs

  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard (binder)

  • ½ cup your favorite BBQ rub

  • 1 cup Dillightful BBQ Dill Pickle Sauce

  • Apple juice (for spritzing)

  • Butter (optional)

  • Brown sugar (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Ribs

  • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.

  • Pat dry with paper towels.

  • Coat both sides lightly with yellow mustard.

  • Season generously with BBQ rub.

2. Fire Up the Smoker

  • Preheat your smoker to 250°F.

  • Use hickory, oak, pecan, or cherry wood.

3. Smoke

  • Place ribs bone-side down.

  • Smoke for 3 hours.

  • Spritz with apple juice every 45–60 minutes after the first hour.

4. Wrap

Place each rack on heavy-duty foil.

Add:

  • 2 tbsp butter (optional)

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (optional)

  • 2 tbsp Dillightful BBQ Dill Pickle Sauce

Wrap tightly and return to the smoker for 2 hours.

5. Sauce

Carefully unwrap the ribs.

Brush generously with Dillightful BBQ Dill Pickle Sauce.

Return to the smoker uncovered for 20–30 minutes until the sauce becomes sticky and glossy.
